As a structural element, QB Glulam offers the strength of engineered wood products, fire resistance superior to steel, and the warmth and beauty of wood for exposed applications.

QB Glulam products are easy to specify, readily available, easy to install, and manufactured to rigid AITC standards to insure structural integrity.

While ideally suited for exposed applications, glulam beams can also be used economically as hidden structural supports in wall, floor, and roof systems, and integrate well with other wood or steel structural components.

Standard stock beams can easily be specified as simple span girders, ridge beams, basement beams, rafters or joists, and headers in conventional applications.

QB Corporation provides easy-to-understand tables to help you determine preliminary beam size. Conversion tables are also included to convert steel, solid sawn lumber and LVL to QB Glulam dimensions.

QB Glulam beams can be easily trimmed with ordinary carpenter tools. Their one-piece construction makes installation simple. They arrive at the job site without the need for job-site assembly.

To facilitate rapid delivery, your distributor stocks a complete range of sizes of QB Glulam beams. Custom beams, which are not in normal inventories, can usually be available for shipment within two weeks of placement of order. QB Glulam arches, curves, and trusses can require more lead-time. Consult your distributor for delivery schedules.

In addition to the QB Glulam beams stocked by your distributor, QB Corporation manufactures a large line of custom beams, curves, arches, and glulam trusses.

We manufacture beams in widths from 2-1/2 inches to 14-1/2 inches; depths from 4-1/2 inches to 72 inches; lengths to 86 feet; and appearance grades to include Industrial, Architectural Smooth, Rough Sawn, and Premium. Be sure to check with your distributor for any special needs.
